Typhoon Kai-Tak Kills People in Vietnam Before Losing Strength

November 4, 2005 (HDW) Danang, Vietnam – Typhoon Kai-Tak hit the east coast of Vietnam on Wednesday and killed over a dozen people in floods and other rain-related calamities. Kai Tak lost power as it moved inland, but it was able to knock out electricity to large parts of the city of Danang before doing so. Typhoon Kai-Tak almost rivaled Typhoon Damrey from a month ago in its destructive power and casualties. Vietnam is still recovering from the flooding and damaged power lines produced by the storm.
